Just a solid keeper please, NEA about age or profile, just someone who isn't error prone, a calm figure and does the basics right. That's gonna win us more points than someone who is arrogant and brainless but occasionally makes a worldy save.

Amazingly, he would not be judged so harshly if he stopped both the howlers and spectacular saves. The Palace game being prime example, if he saved Benteke's goal and conceded the header from which he made a wonderful save then everybody is happy and no critisism comes his way.

Its deeper than that. He has no real presence. I dont think strikers fear him when they see just the goal and him. Always better to have a keeper who puts just that seed of doubt in a strikers head and decision making.
He's not awful. Though errors are creeping into his game to much now. But i dont think he's a kick on to another level keeper. I hope we are having a good look elsewhere right now for possibly next season.
