No he didn't, not at all.

There was absolutely no sign of a mistake coming. It was a fluke. The ball literally, by the laws of physics, should have gone out of play even with Pickford's touch.

He's to blame, he knows it, but it was a moment - a few seconds - of pure madness.
The ball had that much spin on after Van dicks flukey slice the ball has gripped his gloves and spun back, a normal contact wouldn't have had that much spin and just gone over the bar

Great keeper, I'm sure the manager and players will act like adults and not act like the RS did in the champions league final, main thing is he gets a great reception on Wednesday and we press on

Jordan's mentally tough, he said. I wonder when that'll translate to big match winning performances for us then?

Still, the lad believes himself, and he'll quickly forget about this and leave it behind. That's nice for him. I wish I could do that. Must be great being so philosophical when you just committed the biggest bollock in Merseyside derby history. Hats off to the lad.

PICKFORD

“It was a freak one, really. It had hit the bar twice and I tried to flick it over. The ball spun and as I tried to flick it over, my hand hit the bar. It’s unfortunate but I am strong mentally.

“I just want to say sorry to the Everton fans. I think you could see our progression as a group, the chances we created and the football we played. That’s a positive but what can I do? There is always a case as a goalkeeper if you make an error it will lead to a goal. Unfortunately, it has been me today but I will be ready for Newcastle on Wednesday. We know we held our own against a good Liverpool side for 96 minutes. I will say sorry to the Everton fans again because I know how much it means to them. As players, we know how much it means to us. You make mistakes every now and again. It’s not something you can learn and train and get better from. It’s just a freak incident.”

It definitely is something he can learn from. He made a mistake. It happens. But he shouldn't be blaming luck tbh.
