Transfer Rumour Jonny Evans

I would say @FOXINPEACE will really enjoy the Championship. Back to winning games, more games to watch, easy to see them on TV or stream and some new grounds to visit on away trips. But I agree it is different for a club like Leicester going down, Leicester has won the Premier League and the FA Cup in recent years so the joy is still fresh in his memory. Having to go back nearly 30 years for an FA Cup win or nearly 40 years for a league win is a bit of a kick in the teeth. I feel the same as you, it's a long time since Villa won a Cup too and feel the pain of being envious of Leicester over the last 5 or 6 years.
So you were envious the last day of the season?😉

God no! :), I was very happy to stay in the PL, I think experiencing the downtimes does help to appreciate the good times so much more. But I will hold my hand up and say I was envious of them winning the PL and the FA Cup. As most supporters of teams outside the elite will think 'If Leicester could do it why didn't we'. But, I enjoy football for football and I enjoy the excitement of the league and the cups. I am not one of these fans that always looks for a way to try and denigrate fans of other clubs. There is nothing wrong with some banter and rivalry but a little respect goes a long way

Doesn’t seem too much heartache in and around the city to me mate. People I speak to seem quite happy to get cracking again, providing the squad isn’t too decimated?
It's a bit of a unknown to be honest. Last season was the dullest one in a very long time so it'll be nice to see a fresh approach. Not too bothered about Maddison going but I was really hoping we would keep hold of Barnes

The mask keeps slipping, try and be a touch more subtle please

On a serious note though, Evans was quality for us and seems to elevate the performances of whoever partners him. His obvious flaws are his injury record and his lack of pace. Rolls Royce defender on his day
24 games missed through injury. I think you would still be in the PL if he had of been fit

Ha ha ha.

We are unsinkable.

Only a hefty points deduction will see us into the Championship.

I’ve no issue with signing players like this on one year deals.

Dads army for another season until the FFP reset. Would much rather have him than Keane or Holgate.

No problem either with experience to help Branthwaite et al. Another experienced voice at the back to bring the youth on to another level

Good voice in the dressing room as well.

On a free and reasonable wages id welcome 20 games from him and Young.
