Another Tom Davies really isn't he? Blatantly not near the level but gets a pass because he came through the system. Keeping these players on the books is just another one of the many failings at the club. A team with serious ambition would have binned the pair off when they were 20.

Hes ok for the rest of the season to have on the bench as a utility player. Then move him on in the summer.

Not been good enough to really challenge a fading Seamus for the last two or three years. Was by all accounts poor up at Celtic. Has a decent game at left back against a poor Leeds side and suddenly some see him as the answer to our all our problems!
He’s not good enough I’m afraid and at the age of 24 is never going to be! If he’s still here (along with a few others by the way!) in 18 months time we’ll have gone nowhere!

Players like Davies, Gordon, Branthwaite, Kenny and Holgate are useful to pad out the squad, relatively low wages and homegrown quota and given chances can kick on like Gordon has. There's obviously a time to cut them loose if they regress (Holgate now).

It's the money wasted on first team players that's been the problem.
