Was just coming on here to say, he’s trying his best at left back but…. selling Digne is looking as stupid as, well, as stupid as it looked at the time. Club really outdoing itself in the incompetence stakes.

Not been good enough to really challenge a fading Seamus for the last two or three years. Was by all accounts poor up at Celtic. Has a decent game at left back against a poor Leeds side and suddenly some see him as the answer to our all our problems!
He’s not good enough I’m afraid and at the age of 24 is never going to be! If he’s still here (along with a few others by the way!) in 18 months time we’ll have gone nowhere!

Players like Davies, Gordon, Branthwaite, Kenny and Holgate are useful to pad out the squad, relatively low wages and homegrown quota and given chances can kick on like Gordon has. There's obviously a time to cut them loose if they regress (Holgate now).

It's the money wasted on first team players that's been the problem.
