I am not saying I rate him, but I think it is a soft decision. One right back has not played in the PL yet (I think) and one is believed to be at the end of the road. You might argue we have no right backs
Without seeing Patterson ever kick a ball I can tell you he is a better right back than Jonjoe Kenny who genuinely would struggle to get in some League 1 sides.

what you or I think about it doesn't matter. My view based on finances is that we may give him a contract.
My view from a financial perspective is that we should release his wages and use our other 2 right backs.
