Joleon-Lescott

I want United to win the league because if City do it just proves that you can win the league by spunking hundreds of millions on individual players. City have been found out this second half of the season, which makes me very happy.

Didn't Chelski prove that years back?

He did. Before the Arsenal thrashing Lescott said that he didn't want to play the game, and that he wanted to move. Because of a lack of players Moyes had no choice but to play a disinterested player at the heart of his defence which consequently resulted in us shipping a load of goals.

Pienaar was a saint in comparison.

he said his head wasnt in the right place, and when a player says that you would rather drop him then play him. simple solution to that problem was drop neville to RB and play rodwell at CM, moyes chose not to do this.

pienaar was similar as he knew a long time before Bk came out and said this contract offer will be final offer to pienaar this was around a year before he left, he then ran down his contract a further year so we ended up receiving only 2.5m for him.
He knew well before he left that he wouldnt sign a new contract and could of been sold before for a lot more.

at least with lescott we got 24m.

There are players who have wanted out (some of whom are still at our club) and didn't act like that.

That 'bout sums it up. We've had players leave who we don't hate -- it's not that he left it's the way he did it. Probably worse than Rooney (not as big a deal of course because of the relative status of the players and the relative status of the club at those different times) and Lescott doesn't have the "I was 18" excuse.

Says a lot about the team they've assembled there with Man City that United took our Wayne (not to mention were the fashionable team to hate for us all for decades) and yet I don't know many Evertonians (don't know any actually although I'm sure some contrary [Poor language removed] will pop up here now) who want City to win the league over United.

then what about arteta, last day of the transfer window says he wants out, he signed a bumper deal here making him the highest earner and despite all of the years remaining on his contract he leaves for only 10m, we recevie 9m of that and another slap in the face is that he takes a pay drop to join them.

Yet when he scores, everyone is happy for him.

artetas nearing top form now and 9m for him was a joke (1m went to sociedad)

yet pienaar and arteta are ok but everyone hates lescott even tho his was the best deal.

as I said at least with lescott we got 24m for him

Nope, we knew Pienaar wasnt gonna resign, so WE should have sold him beforehand.

He saw out his contract, he didnt sulk and watch as Arse scored 6.

You cant compare Pienaar and Lescott, 1 was respectful and the other sulked untill he got his way.

but end of the day they both wanted out, at least lesoctt had the balls to say it.
pienaar just dwindled over his contract, and came out with "I am happy here" "everton is a great club" to keep the fans on his side and some of the fans actually believed it,

you could blatently see what was going to happen after Bk came out and said we wont be offering pienaar an improved contract, pienaar was in no rush and knew with only 6 months left on his contract the club would be forced to accept a minimal fee or lose him for nothing, which was exactly what happened.

ITKs have indicated that Pienaar didnt want out.

He simply wanted parity with Arteta.

and when we never gave him parity he should of left then, why run down your contract to 6 months.
he did this to **** on the club, he would get his money and a nice signing on fee, spurs pay next to nothing to get him and we get shafted out of big money.

we were the big losers on the pienaar deal, pienaar got what he wanted and spurs got a player at a snip of the price. pienaar isnt stupid he knew what he was doing all along, and a few "everton is a great club" and "the everton fans are magnificent" was all it took to get the fans onside.

yet we get 24m for lescott and everyone hates him, arteta said he wanted to leave on the last day EVEN WORSE then lescott, moyes even said he didnt have to sell arteta, but he basically forced through his deal yet everyone leoves arteta.

Are you serious ? So he fulfilled his contract as much as possible, playing 100% for us the entire time, and you criticise him for not forcing a leave earlier ?

Ludicrous.

in the end arteta, lescott pienaar all forced through their moves in one way or another,
lescott said he wanted to leave as did arteta, and pienaar ran his contract doen as if to say either lose me for free or take a low transfer fee.

Bottom line they all wanted to leave

No offense Dixie lad you might be alright but you seem to just be making stuff up to fit your arguments all over the place despite people who DO know what happened saying otherwise.

yes so if fellaini had run his contract down and left for free next year you would of been happy that he ran his contract down. as I said at least lescott and arteta had the balls to say I want out,

I love your glass half empty outlook that you use to fit your false views fella. According to you every player who fulfills his contract and doesn't force a move is being a bad egg because they 'ran their contract down' and didn't make us a ton of money in transfer fees.

You're either pissed or popcorning !

he did no more wrong then pienaar did.
lescott forced his move (but who wouldnt in those circumstances) while pienaar let his contract run down and fu**ed us that way.

at least we got big money for lescott, unlike pienaar.

bullsh1t. He threw his dummy out cos he couldn't get what he wanted. Pienaar made it clear a long time before he left he was going, and before he went he gave his all in any games he played. Lescott stood by and watched arsenal turn us over big time. He shat on our club.
