he's 27 mate, he's peaked.

Anyway, I don't think he's worth 18m or 22m. But then Ronaldo isn't worth 80m.

Is the value of a player measured on how well he plays or how much someone is prepared to pay for him?

Plenty of variables dictate valuation. For me though, the most significant being measured against the market.

He turned 27 the other week, Proven quality Premiership centre back and strong contender to be a starting centre back for England in the World Cup.

So, taking everything into account, even as far as registration laws for European competitions, how much do you think he is worth?

It's like when John Lennon got asked if Ringo Starr was the best drummer in the world.

Lescott isn't even the best centre back at Everton.

We'll sign at least 9 players and then we can all dance and sing and invite Matthew Kelly round to smile at us and make sausange rolls and drink tea and beer and then dance to the new Artic Monkeys record and go and watch Inglourious Basterds at the cinema and have a nice time and still play quite well and finish in the top 4.

No, he didnt miss games through injuries to his knees but the sort of damage that he sustained will eventually catch up with him, not that I'm wishing it on him of course but I still think that city have paid over the odds.

Please leave me to bask in that feeling of happiness that we've stuffed city rather than make me feel crap 'cos they stuffed us! It's not much to ask.:(

I'm positive we stuffed City on this deal, although it probably is lose pocket change to their owners. Will be hard to replace Lescott, but I have every believe in Moyes, he'll get the right replacement. We won't break down upon selling Lescott. I'm 100% sure of that.(y)

What price can you put on putting our fans through the mill for 2 months and disrupting our preparation?
I hope City are pleased with themselves.

Why did Moyes rest him knowing he was about to break a record?
No wonder he's not happy with Moyes.

Well if he's been the ass he allegedly has and was about to leave the club in the manner he is, would you want to let him get that record??
Don't think I would..

I don't see how we can stuff a club where money means nothing to them. They don't care of they pay 10 million or 25 million for Joleon Lescott - it means nothing to them.

The fact that we are left with 9 days to replace our first choice centre back tells you all you need to know.
