As someone above said, Hughes, last few days of the transfer window has failed to get someone there, "there's £30million"...what would you do if he done that? Accept or reject?

If we sold him the last days before the window closed we wouldn't have any chance of getting a replacement in. It would be suicide to sell Lescott then, even for that money since in effect we'd sell our chance of getting a good position in the league. The closer we get to the seasonstart and transferwindow ending.. the higher prices get for important players.
