Would still rather keep Lescott.
Me too.

Yes £25M is a lot of money for a defender, but of those we need to splash out, probably about £17-18M for decent enough players to cover when Lescott leaves (CD and LB).. and just to get £5M profit on him isn't enough to strengthen our team someplace else, especially since that amount will very likely go to the bank to keep them happy for another year.

Exactly, and theres some fools that would still take £20m for him.

It's just not worth our while selling him, especially not right now. However, I'd take 20mil for Hibbert...
Any possibility we can get the person that impersonate Sven-Göran Eriksson to call ManC's arab owners and tell them that Hibbert is the best RB in the league. And hopefully get them to force Hughes to buy him whatever the cost? :D

Lescott is going nowhere and i can,t blame him for having his head turned.
Once city get another centre half in we can all move on and look foreward to the new season

I'd much rather look forward to the new season with £25million to spend to be honest.
Id' much rather look forward to the last few weeks before the transferwindow closes with Lescott and the rest of our players here and another £25M to spend.

But I'd much rather have Lescott here than sell him for £25M.

lescott got a generous reception at goodison tonight.. quick to swap his shirt at the end and left the pitch without one.. symbolix?

The few boos that there were when his name was announced, were drowned out and he applauded the St end when they sang 'There's only one Joleon Lescott'.
I hope he stays.

EVERTON fans delivered the most public of pleas to keep Joleon Lescott at Goodison.

The Toffees centre-back is a £22million target for Manchester City and has admitted to friends that he is keen on the move.

Yet he was greeted by deafening cheers when his name was announced, and even a booming chant in the second half.

Boss David Moyes said: "The crowd was good because they know what we are doing is right.

"I've been consistent on my stance over Joleon in that he is not for sale."

Goals from Louis Saha and Leon Osman saw off Spanish outfit Malaga. JJ Luque curled home a consolation with a free-kick.

Everton were yesterday handed a tough draw for their Europa League play-off. They take on Czech side Sigma Olomouc - 8-1 aggregate winners over Aberdeen this week.

The Toffees will be at home in the first leg on August 20.

Huzzah, Moyes.

His body language to me suggested that he is going. The fans chanted his name just before the kick off, didnt turn round and clap or acknowledge what so ever like he usually does, kept his head down. End of the game again the fans were singing his name yet he swapped shirts and headed straight for the tunnel. To me, he has gone.

Its a shame he didnt score with that 1st half effort, his celebration or even lack of would have told us everything we needed to know.

I think he will stay to be honest.
