...I understand this ‘Black Joe’ Jamaica dark rum is very rare so i’m always a bit wary of cracking it open.
That's a splendid looking bottle o' grog.

Had my first quince brandy of the season tonight, medicinal only of course. Will try my damson gin tomorrow.
Picked these up in Madagascar last summer. The bottle on the left cost 1 dollar. It is some of the finest smoothest rum I've ever had. The one on the left is even better (about 13 dollars--very high-end for Madagascar), infused with vanilla (there's a bean in the bottle) and oh so smooth. Incredible stuff.

My brother and brother-in-law have become port snobs, droning on endlessly about the merits, or not, of obscure labels. I'm currently drinking this, something I've heard about, doesn't cost a fortune, and is eminently drinkable, cheers
