Happily keep Johnny and give Shane some game time - maybe a loan to a bigger championship Club because without a doubt the lads good enough for us in the near future. Think Johnny would jump at the chance to go back to Ajax too.

Saw Alan Nixon on twitter posted earlier:-

@reluctantnicko: @mikelupson Nearly got rid of Heitinga

To a question on blues news.

So you take the word of 1 lid off Twitter, but not the word of another?

Very interesting.

only the fact that this footyagentking bloke has tweeted some utter ****e mout . but then again alan nixon thought we had signed charlie adam and michael owen . i dont believe anything untill its on the everton website.

Heitinga was quality last season, there is no need to give up on him yet - unless his wages are truly (by our standards) astronomical, i.e. over £50k. But I still don't see where or how we will get a decent replacement. I would love Lescott but I'd have to respectfully disagree with bluefox on a) the likelihood of him returning and b) the desire he has to return. Besides, wages + transfer fees would be so out of our budget as to make Johnny H look dirt cheap.

He's on sixty grand a week.

We can't afford to have a player on a wage like that who is only good every other season.
