He didn't but once people latched onto it, it was all they saw. He was actually a quality defender first and foremost and very good at travelling with the ball as well, all round quality but not so great with his head, bet his interceptions stat was massive, always seemed to step out break up any intricate play near him.
I reckon his over playing by holding onto the ball probably cost us max two goals in his time here, the rest was down to learning the defensive game or plain poor defending by him which happened as it does with all defenders.
Will be good for them I am sure.
