Remember when Rooney asked to leave, twice, and Ferguson didn't sell because he's a good player and selling your good players is quite idiotic? Yeah.

I knew someone would mention Rooney. He's the only example you can give out of a host of other examples of Ferguson getting rid of many a player who was in their prime but had bad attitudes and weren't giving their club the respect it deserves. Rooney held United to ransom as he was threatening to move to City and that was something Ferguson feared more than losing Rooney himself. Even then, there was clear antagonism between the two, and had it been anyone else he would have been shown the door.

And his manager at hat time telling us when he tried to buy our best players for tuppence ha'penny that "if I was still manager at Everton and Alex Ferguson had wanted to buy them I wouldn't have stood in their way if they wanted to further their careers"

It is becomes increasingly obvious that Ferguson was using Everton as a nursery club to poach our best talent, a rest home to farm out his own sick note players like Gibson and Saha.....and as a work experience apprenticeship for his heir apparent.

All overseen by a fifth columnist he sent to skipper our club.

This is supposed to be summer and I should be relaxed of a Saturday afternoon.

But all this stuff is doing by bleedin' head in

like it:D

John's priceless, no way should this lad be allowed to leave the club at any price. Not the finished article obviously 22 year old centre half's have a lot to learn and john needs to work on his work in the air, but that can be coached and practiced.

What is interesting is that it seems that he is also wanted at Barcelona, but and here's the big but, the value they place on him is £25 million. I still think the most telling point is that there still hasn't been an announcement regarding a new contract.I repeat a point I have made on another thread he needs to sign one or he need to be sold in the next two windows.

On Friday there is no doubt that he had a good game but the truth was that at this time the quality of opposition Australia offerered was poor. I accept fully that you can only play what's in front of you.

Fast forward two years and I suspect that Stones will very much be a first choice but at this pont in time I don't think he is first choice that I think is Smalling and Cahill.Lets face it A significant number of starters on Friday will not play in the first two games at the Euros

So it comes back to the value of potential as opposed to the finished article.

People are fickle, had some storming games against the highest rated players in the game such as aguero, Rooney and even different types of players such as Andy Carrol. He is young, not experienced enough to lead an unexperienced line sucessfully or drive a struggling team through, especially with half of his supposed supporters on his back! Crazy, some people would rather see him go to [Poor language removed] just to prove their point it seems. He needs to forge a succesful cb partnership with someone who compliments him to develop fully, same with Mori.

Are you blaming the fans lad

I am trying not to think about anyone leaving until we appoint a manager, depending on who we get it may mean Stones and Lukaku decide to stay anyway.
