If we were offered a daft fee like £59 million for Stonesy and the board rejected it, Holy Smoke would their stock go up in a lot of people's eyes.

Would it though? The lad has a 13-15 year career as a centre half before him. Rooney has cot the mancs an average transfer fee of £3 million per season. That "mega-deal" looks a bargain for them now.

I reckon Stones has told the club he's not fussed either way, if they want to keep him he'll stay, if they want to sell him he'll go.
