John Stones transfer saga

I thought Mourhino said he would back off if we said he isn't for sale. We have said it on his second bid as reported by Sky yet a 3rd bid is inevitable and according to press we are in talks with Chelsea to come to some kind of arrangement. I am confused here. He is either for sale but not at the price bid or he is not for sale which we have stated.
We have also puplicly stated that he aint for sale.

Hi all. Longtime lurker, first time poster and sometime ITK here.
Just so happens now is one of those times as Stonesy tonight signed a One year extension on his contract giving him a huge pay rise and establishing a minumum release cause that would make even Abramovich stop and think.
That is all.
I would love that to be the case, but if it were, it would be being shouted from the rooftops by now.

I wouldn't like to see Stones go for any amount of love or money, he's growing into his role quite nicely at the moment and could be pivotal this season. But I really can't see us refusing an offer of £30m, unfortunately for us we can't turn down that cash. I'd love to see him stay!! Fingers & toes crossed!!

30mil would only get you robbie brady, james chester. & conor wickham

It probably had to happen eventually.
The juggernaut that is the premiership/SKY/media has lost sight completely of what football is all about.
Football now is about four or five clubs depending on if you want to include Liverpool or Spurs, nobody else counts or matters.

In the past a young Brian Clough, the original Mourinho, was able to take small English clubs Derby and Nottm. Forest and turn them into champions through brilliant management and brilliant transfer dealings.
That is impossible now. Vast amounts of money are now necessary to be a regular winner and the clubs that have this wealth are expected to buy and to be allowed to buy any player they want.

It does seem they cannot comprehend a player not being available for sale.
They simply believe that a price simply has not been agreed yet.
Ironically, the extra money in football is now allowing clubs to be more independent when dealing with these super rich spoiled brats.

Would live to see mourinho take over a club that at tge time aren't in the top 3 clubs in the country and see how he deals with it.

Other managers have built teams over time, he just takes over good teams and keeps them ticking. He should of took the leicester job then we would see how good a manager he is
E.g fergie, wenger, clough, kendall
