In fact, happen the best thing we could do now is let it be known we are listening to offers in the hope another bidder will enter the race and a price war is commenced.

I find it hard to believe that some people are naive enough to think that he won't be sold if the valuation isn't met. History shows that we've always sold our best players if the price is right, and sometimes when it isn't. The only question remaining is what the figure of the valuation is. Since Barnsley have the sell on clause my guess would be £35m.

I'll be honest I'd love him to stay but just don't have any faith in the board turning down an offer of 30 million for him but suppose the board aspect of the transfer is for another day. Indeed, im not sure why people think his price will increase, after the Euros the entire England squad will be written off by the media.
