John Stones transfer saga

No young player in their right mind would go to Chelsea. With the exception of Hazard, no player in their early 20's has managed to come through. If Stones went there he'd be left playing Cup matches and the odd league match and just become another Daniel Sturridge, Shaun Wright Phillips, Victor Moses or Gael Kakuta.

Many good arguments but not sure this is a valid one

Oscar and Courtois are still only 23 ,Zouma 20 and I read yesterday even taking into account the ages of Terry & ivanovich their squads average age next season will be under 26

To be fair, that's probably because they have around 200 under 18s in the ressies!

Yep fair enough and the point about Chelsea's academy players is a valid one but one thing they clearly do is pay big money for players in their very early 20s and like all clubs some of those transfers go what nuts up quite often because the players don't develop or their attitude is wrong or they are disruptive
