Moyes also brought in some crap as well in his 11 years with us.

Everyone buys the odd dud but overall his transfer dealings were excellent. I'm not defending his ambition or lack of but it would be churlish to say that he didn't do well in the transfer market.

Some of Moyes's transfers are up there with the best, but Moyes also had 11 years, and until Martinez has had a fair crack we can't really judge him.
