We could swap him for Cahill.![]()
40 million plus Cahill with a guaranteed buy-back clause. You're right Mou, everyone has a price
We could swap him for Cahill.![]()
Next time you watch Sakho play and he gets the ball, imagine all the players around him shouting "RIGHT LADS, LET'S GET HIM!", because without fail they'll charge him down and he looks utterly baffled at what to do and goes into his Bambi routine.
He's one of the very worst Liverpool centre-halves I've ever seen!
yes we should, but every player has a price and if chelsea hit it then we will sell.Hence we should hang on to him as he will only go up in value like Bale did for Spurs!
Touchéok smart arse.
thiago silva, matts hummels , Chelinni, ivanovic (plays there as well), theres your other 4. Also @Dithering Dougie
So that's 9 then if you include Jags who plays for us?ok smart arse.

...... why can't he be part of a team here at Everton that will challenge. How the hell do you know that in 2 years time we won't be. In my honest opinion, i think we are 3 or 4 players short of really going places (if nobody leaves). I do honestly think that. A player doesn't have to sign for the champions to step up his career.
BollocksAye 3 or 4 players in every position short of challenging.
You're living in a dream world mert.
Who could we replace him with? Can you name another quality centre half who
a.) Is under 30 years old (i.e. would be quality for the entirety of a long term contract)
b.) Would want to come here when we're not playing European football
c.) Wouldn't have ridiculous wage demands.
d.) Is anywhere near as good as Stones
I legitimately can't name one who fits the bill. If we miss out on Europe next season, it will make sense to sell Stones for all involved. For now we have a young centre half who's miles ahead of anyone else his age and is one of the first names on our team sheet getting valuable experience, and who has 4 years left on his contract. Wouldn't make sense for us or for Stones to sell IMO.
this post confuses me lolTouché

His current market value is probably around £40m but there's no way I'd sell him for that.
Urban myth that team had a few stars John Moore s loaned us the monies interest free, and also sat on the LFC board - The rest of the team had mainly home grown or players from the youth system or bargain buys - Bargain buys - Ray Wilson , Sandy Brown, Johnny Morrissey, reserve players coming into the first team John Hurst, Roger Kenyon, Jimmy Husband, Home grown players Joe Royle, Tommy Wright, Colin Harvey, and Alan Whittle.and Captain Brain Labone all cost very little or cost nothing that's 11 players that helped us to win the 1969/70 championship! That was only during the 60's and
early 70's under John Moores tenure. Not the rest of the century
point is all low amounts and all (perhaps not johnny) scouted to know how good they were before we signed them. So just saying there is noone to replace him is just silly.
Well another promising England international has just moved for £49m so while I agree transfer fees are crazy, I stick by not selling him for £40m.Seriously? Have football fees made fans lose a total grip on reality? 40M is obscene and could not be refused.
