Joey Barton

I'd rather sell Arteta, Cahill, Rodwell, Jagielka, Piennar, Yakubu and Lescott to City for a bag of crisps than get him free

the kerry katona/joey barton/danielle lloyd three way love triangle is just a car crash destined to happen, probably resulting in kerry and danielle bumping him off or doing a 'job' for him, becoming cellmates and getting married 'bad girls' style.

I dont even hate him, I just cant see anything about the move that would be good for Everton. Yes at 1 point he was a decent prospect, but for me hes very damaged goods.

I don't think he'd be wanted by Moyes, Moyes seems to like building a good team spirirt, and bringing in Barton would be a risky move and could upset the harmony.

When all is said and done, if he did sign, I'd hope he's turned a leaf and turns into a player we could be proud of and I'd support him and give him another chance.

But to be honest that's quite a long shot, and we're not battling relegation year in, year out anymore, we don't have to go for Has Beens, Never Will Be's and Second Chances. We're in Europe on a regular basis, we're potential champions league qualifiers at the start of every season, so i think we can aim a wee bit higher in terms of players that we want to recruit. Leave the risks to the likes of Hull, Stoke etc..

He's a scouse, Everton supporting, tough tackling, England international center-mid who's good with the ball at his feet. He'd be perfect for us if he weren't such a prick. Was gutted to miss out on him two years ago but since then he's removed any doubt from the fact that he will never learn from his mistakes.

Could Moyes turn him around though? Would he have the patience to do it? Or, would it just be another Rooney, albeit older?

I would laugh my ass off if we signed him.

Not because we've signed him. That would be bad.

But because everyone on here would have a heart attack.
