what did he say

'Not gonna cry about it. Maybe it's just time to move on. I enjoyed parts of last season and believe I am more than capable of playing this year. But the manager doesn't. Such is life.

'I have no problem with this as its my fault I am banned for 12 (10 now) games. When a person (makes) a decision he has to stand by that. I respect Hughes for this. I don't agree but accept his decision.

'I am not the type of player to sit on the sidelines and take the cash. It's not me. I could do that for the next 3 years but it's not me. I want to play football.

'Hopefully, the QPR fans will accept that. I offered to resign from the club/contract when I got my ban. (owner) @tonyfernandes (vice chairman) @Amit-Bhatia99 will testify that I am telling the truth.

'I accepted my punishment from the FA and the club for my behaviour against Man City like a man.

'I could of appealed as is my right. I choose not to out of respect. But when I returned to the club. I am forced to train away from the 1st team. I am stripped of the captaincy. Then, made to train at 3pm. Then, I am hawked around on loan.

'Then, I have my shirt number taken without any notice. Then, I read I wouldn't of been signed had the current regime been in place.

'I accepted all this. I never once spoke out of turn or angrily towards anybody. I am a man. I can only take so much. I want to leave.

'I hope to move on with my career, with my life. If that is in France, so be it. I don't want to be disrespectful to QPR but enough is enough

'Good night people. I've said enough for today. I'll get in trouble. No doubt. But this is how it is. This is life!'

what a fkn hero

bell end

Woe is me eh Joey? Stop acting like the world owes you a living and things might go smoother for you.

Is the right answer. I wonder when he will realise he is the common denominator in all his " managers don't like me" rants. A true narcisisst at work here.

lads you know we need a centre mid. if this barton fella is on a free i reckon we should snap him up. i think he may have played for england as well. he seems to speak very well and seems to have a large passion for the game, i reckon he'd fit very well into moyes' dogs of war team, giving nothing away on the field (accept the extra man after his red card).

*starts barton transfer rumour thread ... despite it just being an opinion and NOT AN ACTUAL RUMOUR

Yeah, good thread title: very apt - I wouldn't let my pet Rotts near that bloke, he'd eat them. Utter lunatic, wlil never learn, sooner that psycho is on the thorazine the better. Nasty individual.

I always suspected that all his pseudo-intellectual 'tweets' were 'ghost written' and a PR stunt. Now I am convinced of it. I should 'of' known.

I would like to add that I am not a 'grammar Nazi' and am prone to the occasion gaff myself - but someone purporting to study the 'great philosphers', poncing around art galleries stroking his chin, should really strive a little harder to live up to the facade.

He's a [Poor language removed]. You get players like Fellaini who are a bit of a dirty [Poor language removed] but do it in a way that referees just consider it part of their style because he actually comes across as a top bloke and he happens to be a top player. Whereas with Barton, he's just a thug on the pitch and off. I'm fairly convinced he has a split-personality. Wouldn't be surprised if when he's retired you see him on 'Yesterday' claiming that he was one of those people who had lived before and he lived in World War 2 and had a hard life. He tries to be intellectual but it just makes him look like an even bigger [Poor language removed].

Sky Sports reckon QPR will give him a free transfer.

I appreciate Barton saying he offered to quit , I'm under the impression he told them he'd leave if they paid him off (which is obviously a fortune) so I think the stories of QPR releasing is the club 'fighting back'. Barton is on a big fat contract and it doesn't seem to tally with his character to think he'll walk away and bite about £12m if he's got three years let or obviously more if he's got more left.

Let's see what happens but if he's released on a free surely it'd only be if a club was prepared to match similar terms
