He was doing alright for a while there...but having Pickford really highlights the weaknesses. You can't complain sometimes about Stek and Joel but then when you see the kind of proactive, dominating stuff that Pickford does, the shouting and organising and positional play, it shows you the difference reall clearly.

Or he is needed as Pickford is injured badly - the stek is reliable as ?????

Not that the manager thinks this way Robles is clearly 3rd choice. As I have already said if he is as good as you made out he would have been picked up by a PL side. Not staying in the same place as of today.

If you think the Stek is an adequate long term no 2 then just look at last season an few good games some horror shows -Robles TEN CLEAN SHEETS - that my reply to your blinked view - we hung on to him as pickford may have a bad injury the Stek if chosen will end up in tears!

It's not what I think. It's what the professional like Koeman thinks. I don't get this long term no.2 issue. Robles does not want to be no.2 let alone no.3 that's why he rejected a new contract. And you credit the 10 clean sheets making it out it was merely down to Robles which is over the top. Of course he preformed alright from Dec and Apr but then he was dropped again...I need to repeat this once more if Robles is that good as you suggested why there isn't any decent club come and buy him?

The professional golfer - my patience on his signings is irritating me time will tell - overloaded in midfield nothing upfront two good keepers excluding the Stek!

I blame that on the board and Walsh for not getting the striker and a center-back. As to Robles, I am ok if he is staying as back-up for now as it looks ls like he will go on a free next June and no one is willing to come in for him.

Out of interest did any lower tier Premier League sides buy a starting keeping in the summer?

Huddersfield showed interest in Robles , but he made it clear he wanted to return to Spain!
RK dropping him for nothing did not promote confidence the RK manager may get found out - time will tell - Pickford is a great prospect but hi has been injured before!
Last season at home Robles looked better than him, but in fairness it was Pickford first game back, and I can not find anything but praise for him since he came to us - shame he is injured so early on!
