Think he was just mentally shattered by the time it got to the penalties, pity he missed his and hope it doesn't knock his growing confidence.

Like how Lukaku had his arm round him talking to him afterwards.

The shootout however he was awful!! His save should have been ruled out anyway as he was way off his line. He was just guessing and diving so early he made it ridiculously easy for the west game players

His best game by far for us.

Looked like a rabbit in the headlights with the pens though, shame he should have had them [swear word] scared how they'd beat him.

There is guessing then there is diving out the way of the ball before the player has even kicked the thing! Probably what stung the most for me tonight was that because of this I had no faith he could save any of the penalties

I doubt it. He started laughing when he missed.

I liked his little spell off trying his hardest to see how many players he could take out with his follow through after he punched the ball away

Yep Deffo got blocked off but we see that game in game out. Overall he had a great night and really deserved to be on the winning side. He will take huge confidence from tonight's performance

MOTM tonight, looking better with each game, fair enough he couldn't look much worse.

If he keeps it up he might just pip Neuer to the team of the year GK award this time next year.
