Basil Fawlty
Player Valuation: £35m
Bit before my time as a player but I loved him as a manager. Looking at his wiki page he only managed double figures twice after those 4 high scoring seasons. Did he get an injury?

Talking rubbish 5 TH highest ever EFC goal scorer!
Yes his back as in those days He got clobbered bad style- some of the centre halfs got away with murder!Bit before my time as a player but I loved him as a manager. Looking at his wiki page he only managed double figures twice after those 4 high scoring seasons. Did he get an injury?
He was a great EFC centre forward - my Advatar may be my lack of reasoning with you- sorry blue mist!lolThank you for your considered response.
I'm expressing an opinion which I think has some merit. If I can manage to do so without unnecessarily confrontational language, perhaps you could manage to read the whole response.
He got some criticism from the terraces when he came in. He over came the doubters.
He scored a lot of goals. I believe a better player would have scored more.
He was part of a very great team.
Whether he was fifth, third, ninth top scorer for Everton is neither here nor there. I didn't enter into that argument.
You'll be on ignore in five minutes. I prefer to discuss things with people who are vaguely rational.
To joes credit although in a great team he was a lone striker, cost us nothing as someone pointed out!He was a great EFC centre forward - my Advatar may be my lack of reasoning with you- sorry blue mist!lol
Would you count Jimmy husband and then whittle as a strike partner? To joes credit although in a great team he was a lone striker, cost us nothing as someone pointed out!
Maybe Alan whittle, but Jimmy Husband tended to play right wing - Whittle came in for Bally being suspended in the run in, but kept his place as he scored a goal in every game an EFC record in continuous games!Would you count Jimmy husband and then whittle as a strike partner?
Yes - He was so hard working, I used to tell the old sods stood next to me to give him a chance as when he came in he was so raw , but a talent, he ran the line so well he maintained this in all his blues career - when he got the confidence the ball would go in the net most times!Joey1966, where you around at the time? Did you see him play in his prime?
