Two standout games for me were Spurs in the semi at Leeds and the final against the Mancs,Parky and Barry Horne had the middle sewn up for us,also for a couple of years we seemed to have the indian sign over that shower across the park, cruel how his career ended, could have been an absolute legend IMHO.

1 of 2 good things mike walker did by bringing him in. Tho how much he really did in scouting him who knows

Have to go against the grain here, he was a bit of a bellened when I met him.

He must have had some bad news, he had just come out of Bellfield, I went and stood near him, as he was sorting some stuff out, I had my autugraph book with me, and he just said "what the hell do you want lad ??"

Put it down to some bad news he may have had, but it did put me off him, as 12 or 13 year old.

Grew up a ManU fan...converted Blue Nose.
He did live in Maghull yeah. Remember seeing him in
the queue in Tree View chippy wearing shorts and flip flops.
Saw him at a few aways aswell with his kids...

Parkinson ran the Everton 'Heart Foundation' charity 5K race in Walton Hall Park a couple of years back. I had my photo taken with him - he's a top bloke, really approachable guy.

one of my fave players but, still no need for that , only met him once and he was ok, but then again i avoid players if there around me, never been the same since dia davies the melt was a bit funny with me as a kid, still dream of ramming a ballpiont pen in his eye to this day.

Still love him as a player, and It does seem it was a 1 off, nobody seems to have had any bad experiences with him.

Same day Dunc was everything I though, a top bloke.

He used to do them soccer schools around Maghull when i was growing up, i can remember scoring a hattrick and he approached me at the end and said 'keep that up and you'll be doing it for Everton when your older' and i was made up haha.

didnt he used to play footy with the kids in the park in Maghull....like they used to knock on his door and ask if he was coming out and he used to go and play with them

One of the genuine good guys...made up he got to win something with us
