40m and 200k a week for Joe Hart would be an absolute disgrace. Average keeper in almost every department. I genuinely think Forster is a better keeper. Loan would be best for us. Take him for a year while we assess the market, buy a new keeper and then ultimately send him back.

has he got family? that may come into it..especially for a loan

no prob with a loan,we took howard on loan and that worked out we...oh ffs!

One of my best mates lad has the same agent as him,we have spoke about a few times as far back as March/April when guardiola was appointed and was adamant his first choice would be Liverpool

He's so much better than what we've had.

If he came here on loan I do reckon it'd be the best deal for everybody.

But hate the snobbery that has set in with Everton fans, like we've been ace for the past 20 years and had the best keeper in the world to boot.

Very good for us if true. It's been said he wants to stay in the Prem and if he also only wants a loan then we're the clear favs.
Doubt we could afford to buy him now as well as players like Koné and he is a gamble so a loan with an option is ideal. City will look for a buyer though.
If his agent makes it plain he's not going to accept a permanent deal in this window, they'll have no option but to loan him out.

Having a disgruntled player of his standing warming the bench and potentially causing an issue within the camp won't be acceptable to Pep.

He's off, and it seems like a sensible decision on his part this tbf.

Strange one all of this. I'm surprised we didn't identify a number 1 keeper early and just go for it. All this wait and see with Hart doesn't seem to benefit us. If he comes on loan you know he could be off at any point. Would rather continue with Stek and give him a chance and if he proves not to be up to it we can target a keeper for January who actually wants to come to us.

Don't want him as I know we will swerve midfield priorities. Or that's the kenwright bit in me still.

Joe Hart, Englands No 1 keeper. Winner of the Golden Gloves 4 times and we are seriously debating whether singing him ON LOAN is good idea or not? It's a not brainer.

you'd think wouldn't you mate, some people on here haven't a jar of glue though. if we would of said this time 6 months ago when we was begging for joel robles to go in goal, joel [Poor language removed] robles that we'd have the opportunity to sign Joe Hart you all would have absolutely bit someones arm off, now a couple of good saves later from our back up keeper and we don't need him

think the idea seemingly was to get a decent solid keeper that Koeman trusted in early on the cheap (Stek) to patch up the issue of only having Robles.

That doesn't mean we wouldn't be going for another keeper, but at least allows us some breathing space. The best deals often pop up towards the end of the window (not particularly in regards to value, but with players becoming available).

This year that will only be more prevalent due to the fact that the Euros were on, and so many teams (and big ones at that) have new managers who needed/wanted to fully assess their squads through pre-season first.
