What about two days ago when our owner released a statement saying a spending spree is imminent?
He said we were anxious to further strengthen the squad. I've no doubt we will before deadline though don't see anyone this week and don't see a massive spend as realistic now.

It's open to interpretation what constitutes a heavy spend and I'm hopeful we'll set a new record but my point is there's no evidence upon which to assume a spending spree is imminent.

We'll make a couple of crap signings on deadline day, think Bolaise is going to be the most expensive player we're gonna sign this season imo

I agree that Bolasie is v likely to be the most expensive but if we get Koné I'll be very happy as he's highly rated by the Sunderland fans.

If we are serious about getting Joe hart one club we don't want getting involved is Liverpool,as these have been his first choice for months if he is let go

Ha ha , he wants to try out the club first , to see if it fits? Jog on. Next

That's the perfect scenario for us and him, and City...

Sevilla would be a weird one but he'd get to stay in the CL. However if Rico is as good as @Zatara says he is(...) then would he be a guaranteed starter.

Everton - he gets to stay in the area, he will be on equal wages (albeit City would probably pay half his wages if he went to Sevilla), stay in the Prem - guaranteed first choice (as good as Stek was the other day) and Koeman doesn't require his keepers to be brilliant with his feet. Also knows that he will be part of what should now be an experienced and more organised defence.

To be fair allowing that I am generally hostile to the signing anyway ,it seems a bit cart before the horse. Being bias it suggests rumours of a highly developed hubris are true. Anyway ,nice hair.

hes' the sort of blert who will fight like a tiger not to come here, I really think he might think I'll do Spain for a year, and then take stock. Then its'a question of whether City will pay his wages, probably not, in which case he'll come here with his tail between his legs

Very good for us if true. It's been said he wants to stay in the Prem and if he also only wants a loan then we're the clear favs.
Doubt we could afford to buy him now as well as players like Koné and he is a gamble so a loan with an option is ideal. City will look for a buyer though.

What's wrong with that?!

Good for both parties i'd have thought.
Fair point, but I have the nagging feeling just like when Howard was on loan to us and was a bit hit and miss, that Hart needs to feel he is part of the club proper to perform at his best.
