Nah, I think he's the type to want to play or be off. A new start might be the thing he needs as well, maybe he has grown stale at city.

Can't see it.

He won't take a pay cut. He's got 3 years left on his contract.

In Pep's eyes he'll be a good back up keeper.

Its only a big deal him getting dropped because he's English.

Try and explain why you think we need a "marquee" signing?

Personal opinion, but Witsel and Koulibaly come to mind I don't believe either player thought we were big enough for their ego's.

Our friend the Esk said the club couldn't do anymore to get them signed so you have to look at the reasons why, the fee was there as was the wages offered and yet Witsel has opted to stay at Zenit so he can go to Juventus for free, Koulibaly, same but he has stated that he wants the Chelsea move not us, and they can't offer European football either.

Maybe marquee isn't the correct wording but until we start signing the top end players we will struggle to attract further top end players, chicken and the egg syndrome I suppose

Again my opinion, so don't hang me on it....

But we dont buy top end players, we sell them.

chelsea had a one off, they've been champions league regulars for years, some players probably take it as a given they'd have qualified and will be at a bit of a shock when they're all wondering who leicester city are haha

To be honest, i'm calm, look at man city, when thaksin took them over they were chucking money all over the shop at players like benjani and bianchi. A few worked out and they worked their way up the table to be a much more attractive prospect for the sheik to then come in. Again, they weren't buying superstars to start with, but it didn't take them long to start attracting aguero's silva's and toure's. This summer is all about getting us a good enough team to start challenging those champions league places properly. Break the seal and get in there and then we can attract a much higher calibre. I like that we went out and tried to do it all this summer and at the very least we've got some very good players and clubs to stand up and take notice of us.

He makes a lot of mistakes consistently it is not just a blip in form
that fella we had in goal yesterday looks more than capable of getting a the number 1 slot

Sign him up, people claiming he's not as good as Steklenburg off the back of ONE match yesterday need to have a word with themselves.

He's a top player going through a period of poor form. Would also make the media stand up as he would be a relatively marquee signing.

He's another like Williams,a shouter/organiser/bully IMHO,we haven't got enough of them,he's also a bad loser and has been(England apart)in the main a winner.

If the rumors are true about Pep wanting to bring in Claudio Bravo then I can't see him wanting to stay. Would take him in a heartbeat though I was very impressed with Stekkers.

He won't leave city. The feller will sit on the bench earning £100k a week and will happily play league cup games.

Someone on bm with a good record of getting things right has said Hart has been told he either accepts being a No2 or he can find a new club. If he sits on the bench it will kill his England career and he's too good a keeper for that role.
Playing an inferior keeper yesterday was a big message to Hart and one I think he'll listen to. I think he will go this window.

People who don't want him are mad. Probably the same who want us to spend loads of money, but only on players they fancy.

A position where we need reinforcements urgently? Check.
An improvement on what we've got/had in recent years? Check.
Potential to be in our first XI for years to come? Check.
Marquee signing? Check.
