Some naivety on show here...

As much as I'd like this to be over in many ways, it really isn't. It could easily just be Koeman saying there's no interest... while City/Hart have the stance they currently have in regards to fee/wages.

Unfortunately, we're going down to the deadline day on a few signings I think.

At this point mate I'm with you totally on this but it now makes very little difference.

Any signings now wouldn't be ready for Stoke, so it's irrelevant really.

"Yes, I am going to publicly comment on another team's player and also throw my starting keeper up to this point under the bus in front of the entire assembled media." - Koeman if he had said that they have interest in Hart
He could have just avoided the question though. Like he normally does.

I don't mean unfortunate as in getting them in for Stoke - I mean it's unfortunate that we didn't have the bulk of our business done in late July/early August, which if we had our act together should have been done.

This is now a complete mess whatever happens from here on in.

i doubt we've never showed interest. Had we never been interested in Hart Koeman would have said so at the last presser when questioned. I'm following my gut on this one and saying it's still a goer and this is just us trying to get the best deal possible.

It could be Coleman's intention to force Citeh to negotiate on their stance, or that there is no longer any interest in Hart; if there was any at all.

Either way, I'm sure we will be waiting till around this time next Thursday before we have any real indication on how this deal may pan out.

I'd be more worried if we didn't already have a good squad and hadn't brought players in - which we have.

I don't think it's a complete mess though it obviously hasn't gone as well as we (the fans) and perhaps the club, have expected.

However, I won't cry over spilt milk. The business we've done so far has been good and I'm confident the business we're yet to do (even though it's late on) will also be good.

so that's why he hasn't been playing? ;)

Seamus shouldn't really be getting involved in our transfers imo.

I doubt City are too keen to pay his wages for us considering our stance on Stones, if there was any interest I can see this being a deadline day agreement where somebody gives in.

If there was any interest, they could've included him in the Stones deal in some way...maybe...
