Clearly
Not really. If that were the case you'd see everyone trying to go short no matter what.Invariably kicking the ball long upfield gives away possession whereas short keeps possession and prompts attacking play. I would prefer Bravo. Way back GW mostly did short passes using his arm!
He isn't a target because of how he distributes the ball.
He's a target because he's a very good keeper.
Interesting that in all these stats I've seen over the last couple of days regarding the comparison between the two, it's all been about short/long passes, passing accuracy. I thought I was reading about an outfield player, not a goalkeeper. I've yet to see one stat concerning clean sheets, catches caught and percentage of shots saved. I'm guessing that will go in hart's favour, but the media are portraying the line pep is and focusing on his passing. This is England's no.1 goalkeeper we're on about not some foreign keeper. Pep has got the media on his side, don't like hart as a person, but feel for him in these circumstances. City fans making their feelings known tonight. At least if he comes to Everton, hart knows he'll have the managers 100% backing. Some stats today in a paper about Hart and Bravo.
When in possession Hart kicks a long ball out 75%
Bravo is 75 % short pass
Which means his side retains possession
Then Passing accuracy Hart is 50% Bravo is 75%.
No wonder Pep prefers Bravo!
It won't.Hope all of this doesn't change Pep's mind.
Think he's made a mistake playing him today. Just puts him under more pressure really. It won't.
If he was younger, on less money and not been such an influential player in the dressing room think Hart might have got a chance to see if he could become more of his type of keeper.
But since that isn't the case Pep better making the unpopular decision now, sticking to it and then hope that Bravo is as good as he thinks he is!
I agree he is a very good keeper and I'd be happy to see him at the club but we know what we will be getting distribution-wise.
Perhaps but actually rate Pep higher because he did it - gives both the player and fans a chance to say goodbye.Think he's made a mistake playing him today. Just puts him under more pressure really.
Hope all of this doesn't change Pep's mind.
