I think he is probably trying to avoid a “deplorable‘s” moment on past presidents and signing up to tearing down their stautes but not going to pretend it is a statement I in any way agree with.

Neither of the choices are ideal. But that's the situation American's find themselves in. Same way we did in the UK in recent elections. But you vote for the lesser evil.
I don't see how posting an article from 43 years ago makes Biden seem worse than the plethora of articles from the last few months about Trump.

Trump is on a personal level is worse than Biden. I wasn't using that article to compare him to trump. I was using that article to attack Biden. The one from 200 years ago. It happened.
If I wanted to compare them and make an argument that Bidens more racist than Trump I would say his crime bill devastated more Black people than trump could ever dream of. Worse than any plethora of articles. There’s actions then there’s words.
Physical nightmarish harm.
But I dont care about who is the biggest rapist, racist, currupt Corporatist,etc etc competition that they are both contestants.
I just want to slam them both. Biden escapes too much for my liking.

He had major battles against it and when they made concessions and added the violence against women act into it which helped crack down on domestic violence and rape. It was going to be voted in so he made sure there was something on there. And argued against everything else. Prior and post.
I still disagree and wouldnt have voted on that consession and on reflection it is a reflection of how weak he is as a politician. Even if his politics are very morally superior.

Sanders is not some heroic socialist voting against the grain each time. He's as bad as the rest of them. Selling out when it suits.
He has agreed with Biden and the left on many policies you would consider what was it tory dem or some nonsense.
Sanders says he isn't a fan of the Democrats and his supporters say he doesn't need them yet over the last two decades he has fallen in line. All the while never really establishing any real progressive socialist agenda until he decided to run for president. My point is all politicians change and bend whatever way they need to, to get support and become part of the populist movement. Especially those on the left.

Its a hard choice but sensible folk at least grudgingly accept Biden is a better candidate.
