I'm not against people believing in stuff if they want to, you could argue that aethism is pretty much a religion, but it shouldn't have a part in politics where it's claimed to be inclusive to all.

I agree, that's why I said "on balance." I'm not opposed to it in a personal sense, but I do think we'd have been better off without from the get-go in a societal sense.

I watched that documentary on him recently:

...in his 90s and him and his wife still helping build houses for the poor. Unbelievable.

I have followed Carter for a long time. Him and Ms. Rosalynn have done so much through his foundation helping people build, renovate and repair homes not just here in the US but around the world. They are good people!

@verreauxi I have never been to his Library in Atlanta but next time we visit I will have to check it out.
