First of all, I am from Liverpool and a football supporter ( not rabid ) and believe it or not want both teams in the city to do well.
Secondly, don't know what the POTUS is nor the GOP.
The questions I asked you are fairly straightforward IMO.
If you feel it is none of my business then that's fine as well.
Watching all the lies being told on CNN and Fox News and the US media in general most people, well me anyway have no idea who to believe.
Seems to me they all have an agenda and depending on who is paying them will say anything.

Doesn't mean they get it right every time but they are staffed with legitimate professional journalists and adhere to professional standards. FOX is an entirely different beast. The network was specifically created in order to present a "conservative" view of the news. By definition that's not journalism, it is propaganda.

They can also talk Beer. Politics. alehouse talk, Mental Health, and many other subjects.
The mods soon let them know when they are out of order and I already have had a warning from them due to

Can not reply to your post as mostly I suppose I don't understand it.
However, I am watching the new election with great interest.
I flick channels between the obvious bias of CNN for the Dems and the mostly bias Fox news for Trump and co.
Please educate me further if you will.
Do you think Trump has done any good at all in just over 3 years in office.?
Taking away this dreadful virus which we don't know how the Dems may have handled it either.
Do you think Biden and his running mate will be better with the economy going forward?
Will the riots and violence end anytime soon in the major cities.?
Is the Green deal a good deal for America?
Will, they really defund the police ( already started by some states )?
Is Biden just a temporary stand-in before Karmela takes over.?
This election seems to be the most important in decades even for us Brits looking on.

I’m sorry but the two bolded bits indicate that you either have no idea what you’re talking about, or that you are in no way a serious person on this issue.

Firstly, it’s not entertainment, it’s not a soap opera, it’s (quite literally, at the moment) an issue of life and death.

And to secondly, to draw any form of equivalence between CNN and FOX (and indeed in your case to imply that the “bias” on CNN is WORSE than that on FOX) is inane.

Out of curiosity, why are you so unwilling to name your preference (I mean I think we all KNOW why, but I’d like to hear what “reason” you give). This is, after all, an anonymous discussion forum, and we’re talking about an election that you can’t vote in, so there are no issues of “it’s unethical/impolite to ask someone who they voted for”.

CNN is a bit more smarter a bit less crazy but you still have to be an idiot not to see that both news organisations are propaganda machines.

journalists on both side don’t report. They stick a pro party slant on it and out right start talking in opinions and not facts. They manipulate.

Fox is so far gone and you wonder how their audience falls for it.

CNN is for the people who think they are smart and left. Kinda people that fall for the Democratic party.

But if you say cnn is not biased toward a political party and think it’s legitimate. Or say ‘ye ok it’s a little bit bias, but it’s still legitimate’ ...that is a contradiction btw. Then your just as bad as the FOX mouth breathers.

I think I’m some circumstances it could be if people are tribal about politics and you have bought in hard in one of the parties you could get it twisted and confuse being told what you want to hear as being reasonable unbiased truth.

I find partisan news a strange beast fundamentally tbh. RTE of been accused of pro establishment slants occasionally, but they are worlds and worlds away from the utter garbage Americans are subjected to.

In my experience, the political left of the US have almost as much disdain for CNN as the political right. You might remember the "Occupy CNN" efforts by Sanders supporters in 2016 (upset by lack of coverage of Sanders/bias for Clinton) and in 2020 leftists complaining, again, about the networks' bias for centrist candidates.

I can understand the view the network skews left, however that's, IMO, the result of coverage of the massive levels of dumbfuckery and outright graft that comes from the political right in this country.

FOX is a wholly separate animal.

CNN is probably slightly (and I do mean slightly) left leaning (on the US scale of Left/Right).

The difference/“bias” SEEMS much more pronounced currently because the GOP has gone full on bat**** crazy.

If Trump comes out and says “everyone should inject bleach to combat coronavirus” and Nancy Pelosi, or Biden, or AOC or whoever makes a statement to say “we don’t believe you should inject bleach”, it isn’t an example of pro-Democrat bias when CNN says “don’t inject bleach ffs, this is dangerous”

If Trump says “we need a wall to keep out drugs”, it’s not “anti Trump” to interview experts who say “a wall would make little to no difference, as 90+% of drugs come in through ports of entry”

Similarly, when Republicans spent years talking about whether Obama was actually a US citizen, it’s not pro-Democrat to say that claim is a lie with no evidence to support it.

Drawing any sort of equivalence with FOX is moronic. Though perhaps I should be less than surprised.

When one side gives up any attempt at truth and fact, it isn’t bias to say so.
