Player Valuation: £30m
I'm a new poster so apologies if this has been done before. I was just wondering has anyone seen anything of him at all as he doesn't even make the bench. Is he playing well for the reserves?

I think Gueye should be used a bit more, I think against Spurs for example taking Billy off and putting the pacey youngster on would have given us a different outlet and lets face it he can't do any worse than Billy is at the mo.(y)

Good point. Anyone seen this 20 year old 6' 2" striker with a decent goalscoring record in Portugal?

Might be time to give him a chance...what with our forwards unable to hit the proverbial cows arse.

I have been saying this for ages. What the hell is the point of buying this player and we dont even play him? I know he was a pretty small sum (500.000) but come on, not even a cup game? If he isnt good enough then get rid and get him off the wage bill no matter how little he may earn.
When we got him the press here and abroad said he was the 'New Ronalso' well...

Coleman was £60,000!

I did a search on the OS - he hasn't been mentioned since June.

he's injured i think.

He's been injured since October, yeah, but in the two games he's played for the Reserves prior to that he really hasn't shown enough to be considered for the first team. Might feature in tonight's reserve mini-derby, so who knows.
He gets game time for portugal u21's and has scored for them.
To an extent... I mean - he's had about 40 minutes of game time in his 4 call-ups and has scored once.

"New Pauleta", I believe.

Hm, not really. You do know the search tool on the OS does not (automatically) show results chronologically, right?

I saw him play here in Australia when the team was on tour...didn't look all that good, but that could be cause he was getting used to the way Everton play.

However, I was very impressed by Gueye, and his only problem that I could see was his English...but it's not like Ronaldo or Fabregas could speak it when they first came.

Thank you for bringing this up. Let's let Silva learn a bit more, but Gueye is the one that keeps being touted as Moyes's secret weapon and that he looks very impressive... Why not let him get a run in one of these days?

I saw 'Marvin' Gueye play a couple of our 'warm-up' matches pre-season and I must say his link up play was excellent. He added that fresh dimension that is surely lacking with us at the moment - plus with him being a fringe player ..erm..on the fringe, trying to impress, you know he's going to get stuck in and do his best - unlike some of the complacent douchebags we have stinking up the pitch as we speak :(
