A little harsh, no? I doubt you've seen him much. (If you have I take this back :))

I meant more from a fact based perspective. Vellios has come from Greek football, compared to french and portugese. He hasn't been as prolific for his club as the other two. He wasn't, as far as I'm aware, offered a 5 year deal like Gueye. He hasn't played internationally above u-19, whereas the others have played for the u-21s, for yet again much better footballing nations.

I'm amazed we haven't seen more of Gueye, I must say.

I did think he'd have a few prem apps to his name by now, like....

Wasn't there speculation in like November or December that the lad would be released?
Would be boss if he'd be boss for us. What if Stracqtor / Victor / Jelly / Velli all would suddenly become ace too as there are hints they are not badly gash.

scored today for the reserves. welcome back joao! hope you get a chance in the first team.

Barkley scored and Gueye got 2 ... somehow they don't get a look in and I can't see Joao getting much of a chance either. Mind you I haven't seen hardly anything of him so can't say if that's a good or bad thing

With Cahill, Jelavic, and Anichebe out (how long are they out for?) I guess our strike force is down to Strac, Vellios, and Silva. And Felli in Moyes opinion >_< As much as I want to see more of Vellios and Silva, this was not what I had in mind.

Although Cahill still has a long way to go to get back into form and Jelavic is untested, maybe Vellios and Silva can step up.

Everton's young striker Joao Silva, who has spent much of his Goodison Park career away from Merseyside on loan, has admitted he would be open to a possible move to Portuguese side Vitoria Guimaraes.

I say sell him for 30mil. to some arab side, convincing them that he is david silva's younger brother and will turn out twice as good.

If Everton doesn't want him to go maybe he should just wait until the January transfer window to leave. If Vellios does end up going on loan then Joao would definitely being in contention for game time. I would be really disappointed if he did leave this summer, we've invested a lot in this kid. I think the fact that Everton recalled him in January because we weren't sure of getting Jelavic says a lot about Everton's plans for the kid. After all we could've left him in Portugal and considered Felli a back up striker instead.
