I would swop him for Vic.
Take away the goals and Jo is awful. I must be in a minority when i say i hope we dont even get him on loan again.
One of the worst myths ever to be honest, we played some of our best football with Yakubu, Pienaar and Lescott linking up down the left handside in 07/08. He's very capable at linking play and a good footballer.
So is Jo though, some of his link up play was fantastic. He's just inconsistent, needs to do it week in week out.
You cant deny he is a lazy player.
If you commit yourself to going on the left side (as a stiker), you've got to be just as committed to getting back in to the middle, which he wasn't.

I said it last year : In his spell with the club Jo was just as good as Yakubu was before he got injured. In terms of putting the ball in the net and overall team play.
Lazy (in terms of chasing lost causes) yes.
In terms of link up play, holding the ball up and getting involved he's usually been excellent for us. Some of our best football comes through Yakubu and Pienaar linking up.

I think he's got massive potential, he could be an excellent striker in this League. He just needs to adapt more and be a little more consistent.
He's certainly got the tools, he just needs to be at the right club, under the right manager. Hopefully that's Everton.
Agree on both Yakubu and Jo. Both will never be 'hardworking' strikers like Johnson or also Vaughan. Would be interesting to see a Yakubu-Jo partnership though.

Lazy maybe, but also a 'potentially' very effective one. That could be one lazy partnership that![]()
Aye thats the only way we'd sign him permanently after all transfers between british clubs HAVE to be paid off within 12 months as per the premierships rules and city would want fairly big cash for him, that frankly we just dont have.If we get Jo, we're saying goodbye to Lescott.
I've seen gimpses of potential in Jo, but when he doesnt score he is awful. Another loan would be the best option.
