How is texting that White divvy communicating with fans?

All he's doing is amplifying his profile via his control of a football club.

Communicating with fans would be to take out the time to sit and discuss his plans for the club with fan representatives...who? oh I dont know, maybe with someone from the biggest independent Everton forum in social media? Or he could give a detailed interview of what he's got in store in one of the better newspapers like the Guardian or whatever.

There's been nothing at all. That's fine if that's the way he wants to play it. But it's the quickest way to alienate a fanbase and it'll stand him no good stead for when he hits bumps in the road...as per the summer transfer fiasco when he suffered a massive desertion of goodwill

Spot on.

Thought it was obvious: no team can leak goals like we did and avoid the inevitable for very long. Whether you liked him as a person is a secondary consideration to the fact that he simply isn't a PL quality manager.

Belgium?...yeah maybe...don't care

Is White trying to get a job at Everton? Perhaps he feels he can revamp our communications strategy?

If so, the first thing he would tell Moshiri is to stop sending texts to 'journalists' such as himself.

I hadn't considered this angle but it is very plausible. While I can't stand him there's little doubt he is good at his job. It all seems a bit odd the Moshiri-White thing and I of the opinion there is a lot more to it.

Well, the way things are shaping up I'd half expect next summer's spending will be financed by the sale of Barkley who will quietly and efficiently be frozen out. That cash plus the tv cash will mean that all the talk of squad investment from Moshiri remains in the pie in the sky category.

This is a legitimate worry, but I sense it would be Lukaku who would make way if anyone did.

have you considered taking a day off from being wrong all the time?

If you're willing I will stand outside Goodison with you for two hours on Saturday and we shall get a real taste of the sentiment towards him, we can also ask a simple yes or no as to whether the summers transfer business was a fiasco.

I willing to bet you're in a minority.

you don't think we will get more than a bowl of stew and a packet of salt and vinegar crisps for Barkley do you ?

Do you think the transfer window went well Ian?

Not aware of any mate...and the transfer thread makes me now wary towards ITK sourced info ( @Moomin excepted)
You sauced?

Yes, could've been better, with a better striker signing, but we wouldn't attract a better striker than Lukaku, so it was then a case of luring a top striker, who won't be first choice to a club that has no European football and has finished in the bottom half 2 seasons on the trot, not an easy sell that.

On the plus side, we have improved our staring 11 in 4 of the 11 positions.

Who else has done that?

If he went up for sale tomorrow there'd be queue of top CL clubs looking to pay £50M for him.

How does an Evertonian run down one of the only truly talented players we have?

Barkley and Deulofeu are light years ahead of the rest of that squad in terms of the technique they have, but some seem prefer to throw praise at a headless chicken and a huff and puff midfielder who'll run and run all match.

It speaks volumes in terms of the basic outlook that people have and what they view as good football.

Inspiration over perspiration every time for me.
