He's an empty shirt dave that had to be embarrassed into playing like a professional, let alone have any sort of impact on a game. There's no need to compare him to anyone else, by any measure his loan was a complete and utter failure.

I must be seriously out of step with this player. He was terrible when he arrived, but his performances steadily got better. IMO.

And on the other hand I see Alcaraz being feted by others when he just looks like a player who's one-paced and inconsistent and never the answer for the creative player we yearn for at this club.

Lindstrom had 2 maybe 3 decent games at a stretch. If Alcaraz is a one trick pony, Lindstrom is a 3 legged one

The reduction of pace and direct running has probably not helped.
And the quality of opposition over the last 5 games

Dave, this is the Lindstrom thread.

I liked the boy, he looked bright, carried the ball well at times, but he bottled every single tackle and his attacking metrics are awful.

So I wish the boy well with the rest of his career, but we aint spending 20m on him.

As for Charly boy, well, this isnt his thread, but I agree, people have gone a bit crazy, the boy looks a talent, but the way some talk you would think he was Messi reborn, regardless, for 12m, I would probably have a closer look in the next few games, but I suspect Moyes has already made his mind up.
