He’s the only probably right winger we have and some think he’s better as a 10. Young hadn’t played on the wing in years till Dyche played him there
Let’s see what happens when McNeil and ndaiye are back and Alcaraz has settled in

He was playing when Ndiaye was fit. He played him with Alcaraz at palace.
Moyes doesnt play players if he doesnt think they are pulling their weight.
I think the criticism of theres nobody else is harsh.

I think people forget what our budget was in those Moyes years. Look at our net spend and compare to the teams around us. We had sod all cash to throw around and although we were all frustrated by our lack of results away against the likes of Man U and the RS we were taking knives to gunfights.
While I understand the viewpoint, I think that diminishes the quality of the teams he put together. He might not have much money, but there’s little denying he used what he had well on the whole.
So for me we can take availability of funds off the table to a certain extent and ask did those teams under or over perform.
His narrative was they were over performing / perennial underdogs, something I tend to disagree with.
I think we had more than enough quality to to win a pot during his previous tenure and the top 8 finishes were the least those teams were capable of.

Good argument and don't disagree. But while out starting 11 was always decent under Moyes our bench couldn't match the top 4. The only team I was really annoyed of how we played against under Moyes was Arsenal. The hidings we were given by them were inexcusable. I didn't like the underdogs mentality but I think Moyes worked wonders in the transfer market to make us competitive against most teams. Our away record against the sky 4 was woeful though.

If we get a pacy RB in, then it would give him licence to come more inside into his preferred area when there’s an overlap - much like how we’ve seen DM get the best out of Ndiaye on the left.

But aye prolly a coin toss whether he stays or not at this point.

Yeah not for me. Maybe if he’s available on another loan at a push.

He's got to be contributing at the top half of the pitch though hasn't he mate. He was worse than Harrison tonight, just going through the motions and offered nothing.

Not worth 20m at all and he's going to have to improve his output to even get us into a conversation for a loan atm
