Let’s be honest he had plenty of opportunities but never provided any evidence that meant he could be a constant performer, maybe because it takes time to get used to the tougher premier league,the last three games he has done a lot more attacking and especially defending which suggests he might become a regular, only three games though and he still has to prove he can do it over ninety minutes or a 109 minutes like Saturdays game. He will come in very handy for the rest of this season if he does and scores a few as well.

I think it's even more simple than that to be honest, what he demonstrates is that not looking particularly impressive doesn't mean you're a League 2 player. Like pretty much everyone else in the squad, he's clearly capable of having decent games because he hasn't ended up playing at this level by accident. What he has to do now is produce a little bit more, a little bit more often, for a little bit longer. A couple of half decent performances before being subbed off after an hour isn't going to be enough to say we need to completely reassess what he is. If he's going to be worth spending £20m+ on he needs to push on again over the next 15 or so games.

Improving yes, but it helps when you're getting more of a chance as well.

I've said it before but he's infinitely better than Harrison and will only get stronger with game time. Hope he has solidified himself as a starter, more games more confidence and hope he becomes a gem signing

People just want to be right at the end of the day. They form unshakeable opinions so they can get internet points. It's the game. I've said it before, 90 percent of the battle in the league is mental. Can you deal with the pace, the closing down of space and the physicality? If you get past that, you have a chance. Athleticism surely helps but it doesn't determine whether you make it or not.
