Not great today but then what player was? How on earth is he ever going to get up to speed when he’s not getting a stretch of game time similarly afforded to woeful performances from others?

Guys, he os NOT a winger. He is misused out there in a hopeless offensive system. Hes a no 10 behind a striker - he were great in Frankfurt which led Napoli ti buy him.

I cannot for one second see this guy doing well in the middle of a PL pitch.

Reminds me of the Bily shouts except this fella can run a bit but doesn’t have an equaliser of a left (or right in this case) foot.

Timo Werner looked quality in the bundesliga. It doesn’t always translate.

I know - but he is fast, can dribble, shoots nicely and especially have a great free kick (which we saw in pre-season)

He is locked out wide where he needs to track back, bevause our offensive system is broken and the manager is a dinosaur.

Thought he was doing alright until DCL ran in front him. Further evidence there is little to no work in acctacking in open play as a unit, players have no idea what the other is doing,

Absolutely shocking.

You know this...everyone knows this:

Chermiti was signed for £12.5mil because we expected DCL to be injured (as he had been for continuous seasons) the following season. Talented u21 international player who has been injured since preseason.

Not sure why he is included in your rant?


Beto for similar reasons to Chermiti as well as there was zero upfront cost. If DCL had continued his injury nightmare and we had not signed these two players we would not have had any forwards. Keep in mind that he was doing very well in Italy and its just not been transferrable here.

If we had not signed any forwards, you would start a thread complaining about having no forwards.


O'Brien another highly rated player who it seems like Textor did some deal with for him...just as he did with Mangala and just as he was trying with Nuamah.


Its quite obvious to me that all three deals are back loaded on the payments.

Shame we have no strikers fit. Could have tried a 4-2-2-2 with him and Ndiaye behind DCL and Beto/Broja.
