I think if this was a loan and didn’t much impact the budget then getting him plus a pacy outright winger like Gnonto would provide a solid range of options.

12months ago he was good enough for Napoli to spend €30mil on him amidst Liverpool and other links.

On paper a loan with option is a sensible move if we can also bring in Gnonto. Then next summer we have McNeil & Gnonto + can continue to rebuild the squad.
