Ba is ace. I wish we had him and Jelavic up front. Man, we'd be mint. Imagine that! However he does seem to have an attitude problem, which wouldn't be too good for the squad.

Just something I thought I'd post to keep the discussion going during the boring international break. I just thought it's an interesting topic because both players appear to be of similar ability, same age and play for similar size clubs (and play with players of similar-ish ability).

Evertonians may choose Jelavic, and Geordies will probably go for Ba. However, from the people i've spoken to I get the feeling that most neutrals opt for Ba as the better striker. I know this doesn't really count for much but most people opt for Ba in their fantasy team too.

So what I want to know is who you guys think is the better striker and WHY (talk about their different abilities/facets of game etc)? No bias please lads.....

I'd go for Jela, (1) He scores equally as many goals if not more than Ba, (2) We won't lose Jela to African nations thingy, & (3) Jela has bought into the EVERTON team spirit/work ethic which I don't think Ba would fully do. - Nuff said.

Ba was great the first half of the season, but he got crowded out when Cisse came in which is why he struggled. IMO Cisse is a better player but they're both very good.

I think Ba scores more spectacular goals than Jelavic, but I would count on Jelavic to score more than Ba in any given game. It doesn't really matter though, I think Jelavic is getting plenty of recognition around the league. Last season since january he was a bit overshadowed by Cisse as the standout signing, but now that Cisse has stopped scoring and Jelavic has continued, people realize just how good he is.

Ba is more unpredictable imo. But all in all Jelavic is better player and more clinical

what Jelavic does is quite rare, he's an out and out finisher i think he will be more consistent than a Ba type forward. Any striker who only needs a sniff in a game to put it in the back of the net get's my vote so got to say Jelavic.

Jelavic, for 2 simple reasons, he plays for Everton and he slots for fun.

Happy with Jelavic because I think he will have longevity.

Ba has a slight edge as he can take on a player. Jelavic relies on good service (which he masterfully one touches into the net)
