The man has got to have a chance under Jelavic.. only 27 and can be a prolific finisher!

Can't imagine any player will be sold unless they ask for it this year... Martinez wants to give everyone a chance under him, Hence why Naismith is still lurking about

Martinez is going to get a good look at him in training. No way will RM get rid if he is showing his old self in training, but if its like he was last season then he will be gone. Jelavic has to impress in these few short weeks or he will have no future. Cannot see Martinez use half a season to see if he gets his form back as that could be very detrimental as it was last season. Jelavic has to hit the ground running in training or he is history (if we get interest in him that is).

Got to keep jela, I'm a big jela fan I think if he's played right he's one of the best around, far better than Kone anyway. He had showed us he can do it scored more goals in half a season than Kone scored in a full season. If Martinez plays him right and gives him good service it will be jela's season. Say we do sell him for say 6 mill, hamburg have said they can't afford the full payment it will be in installments, strickers arnt cheap who we gonna get to replace him??

The HSV rumour suggest they are going the Everton way on this transfer with monthly installments over time, so chances are RM wont see any money towards a replacement. Looks like a good deal for HSV and a bad one for us.

I say we keep him. If any striker should be sold it´s Vic, I can´t really see him fitting in a fluid , fast attacking squad like RM is building to be honest.

Keep him, he will be better than last season for certain under a more striker friendly system, plus 4-6 m for a player who could potentially rediscover his first 6 months form isnt enough to get a sure fire goalscorer in imo

It's always tomorrow with Vic I'm afraid.

There's no way Fred would move in a World Cup year either.

Not much out there, but strikers are definitely worth spending huge amounts on, shame we don't have European challenging funds.

TBH, Jelavic's biggest problem for me was the sheer amount of times he was offside. In this possible new formation, we will be looking to play further up the field, with the attacking wing backs. With wing backs there is a higher chance of the ball being cut-back into the box, Jelavic, or driven over for a header, Kone. Either way, it is less reliant on the striker getting beyond the man, rather find space in the box, which Jelavic has already proven to be quite adept at. That's his game, not running the channels, chasing the ball over the top. He slots, bossly. Let him slot.

Keep him.

give him another season, the yak went to blackburn and leicester and went back to scoring 1 in 2.don't know about now,lol...let bob get his confidence back with deulofeu and mirallas feeding him with fellaini playing more in a midfield role. Then we can make our minds up when there are no excuses.

He was far too isolated last season as Fellaini wasn't close enough too him (and doesn't make runs to take defenders away) and our wide players played like wide midfielders rather than wingers. Get players closer to him slipping passes through and he might start getting goals again.

That being said he was truly awful last year and I think we need a player who can do more than just finish. If we got £10m for him and Heitinga then that'd give us the chance to get someone better in

Aren't we also in need of quality passes from m/f? Attacking down the flanks is all well and good but you need variation. I sincerely hope we address that situation by the end of the window.
