Last season, we saw many examples of managers berating refs and sometimes, I have to say, with just cause. The standard of refereeing is another issue which also needs addressing but last season we saw the following:

Sir Alex v Martin Atkinson

David Moyes v Mark Clattenburg

Liverpool, a few others and now Chelsea v Steve Bennett

I am sure there are many other examples of refs being castigated by clubs and then, as has been consistently shown of late, those refs being kept away from those clubs.

The clubs are virtually picking their own referees. The refs are scared to upset the big clubs as it affects their chances of getting the big games.

I say that on the opening day of next season, Atkinson should get Man United, Clattenburg should get Everton and Bennett should get Chelsea or Liverpool.

On every occasion that a manager openly criticises a referee, that referee should be appointed to that club’s next game.

A manager should also get a one match touchline ban. If the incident is repeated, the next time it should be two matches and the time after that four and so on and so forth.

Winter should keep his over inflated opinions to himself. What about referees recieving a ban for gross incompetence and in some cases, gross misconduct,i'm sick of fuckwits like this bellend spouting their bile on a weekly basis in a desperate attempt to remain in the public eye, it's a closed shop as far as discipline goes with referees, and it's high time that they were publically brought to account for their often displayed bias and lack of understanding of the players and managers alike, get to [Poor language removed] you fat hedgehog headed smoggie tramp.

The thing with Clattenberg is...he didnt just make piss poor decisions for the derby, he was doing it ALL SEASON! There's about 5 times you could bring up examples of absolute shocking reffering decisions but he still refferies games, doesnt get fined or bollocked by the association or FA.

Managers should pull up poor reffering, if not who will?

Dont hold back Vim say what you mean:lol:But the [Poor language removed] should never be allowed to Ref any game let alone one of ours:@

so wait, let me get this straight if a manager likes a ref he can criticise him, get him for the next game rinse and repeat and you get your fave ref for every game?

if you speak out you get banned from doing your job....

this guy should go be a dictator of a country somewhere...

Can anyone name a referee they love and would like to have in every game? (Except Liverpool - Clattenberg)

And what would happen if we slandered our referee in round 5 and Tottenham did the same.. and we were to meet in round 6? Would we face two referees on the pitch so we'd get twice as many mistakes made?

I actually thought Clattenberg was a fairly decent referee before the Merseyside debacle and didn't mind him at all.

Safe to say that's changed a bit.

Mark Halsey is an excellent ref - lets the game flow.

Howard Webb doesn't make too many mistakes.

Uriah Rennie seems to like us - we always get a pen from him! :)

I emailed Jeff and said that I felt that Clattenberg never had a bad game because a ref having a bad game makes poor decisions for both teams and he didn't he showed a distinct bias against Everton his reply was that No ref would be biased and we should welcome the chance to see Clattenberg again as will prove he is a good ref not his exact words but thats the gist.the guy just dose not get it .(n)
