I don't think so. He wouldn't want to be locked to living in Liverpool for 4 years when he could live anywhere he wantd, not work at all, and probably get 75% of what's left on his contract as a severance payoff.

Trying to put a positive spin on it just strange though. You can defend him all you want and I’m not saying it’s his fault or whatever but a player missing as many games as he does just isn’t ok.
