he does not win nearly enough ball to play that role, I suppose having three ball winning MF's will help.Totally agree on his passing range though.

What about the front 3, who is first choice? Drop one of Gylf, Mois, Rich or new winger, not even mentioning Bernard.

Different systems for different games but at present only Siggy is undroppable from the midfield three
Gomes may play further forward in some games with either Delph or Gbamin, and be dropped for a Delph/Gbamin pairing when we need more physicality

Correct about Siggy
His goals and assists make him untouchable at the minute.
There is a video on here somewhere and the amount of chances he created for Walcott and DCL that they missed is unreal.
With a good striker in front of him and 2 wingers that can finish his figures cold be unreal

Add in Mina and Keane hopefully putting a few headers in from his set pieces. Keane won loads of attacking headers last season but couldn’t hit the target.

Edit, there is no chance we are leaving Gylf on the bench.

In January when PSG came in for Gana and a compromise of wait until the summer was agreed, I think that gave us time to assess the squad and identify the best interchangeable players available to fit the desired system.

So 2 of Gbamin / Gomes / Delph / Davies will operate as the midfield engine (maybe another depending on if Schniederlin goes/stays)

Sigurdsson / Bernard / Reinier? as the 10

These have flexibility too.

Need 16+ top class players to compete with the best. You cannot get by with just a brilliant starting 11 anymore.


Need another winger as I don't think Walcott can deliver consistently.
