My dad is big in to prog rock (generally not for me but fair play) and he likes jazz too. Thankfully it filtered through to me!

These guys are amazing, the background to a lot of my summer days this year.

If people like them there's loads of great full performances on YouTube, they were doing live sets too.

It's heartening to see the revival of trad jazz amongst the younger set. Makes an old man happy.

I have some local friends here with a tune I dedicate to @tommye who is the non jazz lover most positioned to appreciate it. Heh.

Although i've experienced some very cool live jazz in times of my life and enjoyed it !
Double bass with piano, gentle drums, perhaps a guitar joining in 4 in the morning a bit wellied but happy to listen. But !
Radio 6 have decided in their wisdom to play random jazz throughout the day and it's doing my nut in !
Does anyone actually like the full on style ? or is it "Uncool" to say you don't ?
Random bleetings of too many instruments just doesn't do it for me.
What's the attraction ???

It is so varied it is like saying Pop is a genre. Main attraction for me is great drumming in many cases.
