Doesn’t like to talk about them.

Injury happens...what's crap is when it happens to one of your top players and we dont have that many top players. There is such a gap between the first 11 and the sub options, probably biggest of any teams in the league. Look at chelsea...so many big injuries also to their cbs...but they have good young options to come through...we dont have any.Medical staff must explain what happened here. Too many time to recovery wasted.
It could be, or could have been an injury that required surgery from the beginning. I think an explanation would be necessary in this case.Injury happens...what's crap is when it happens to one of your top players and we dont have that many top players. Holgate was never anywhere near the level that Branthwaite has shown, not even close to being close to being close. He had a couple of months of looking like a half decent centre half in his entire career but people on here massively overrated him. Branthwaite is arguable slightly overrated by our fan but to nowhere near the same extent, he's a genuinely top quality player.
I understand why you dont go for surgery straight away, especially on a harmstring...and this goes back again to where we are as a team. The reality is that he is our best defender by some distance...so we needed him asap really. I am sure that must play a bit in the decisions the medical team takes...if we had another Branthwaite waiting in the wings, maybe he would have had the operation in the summer. It could be, or could have been an injury that required surgery from the beginning. Has Tarkowski been "so poor" though? I don't think he has personally. O Brien has been just as bad/OK. Plus Tarkowski is the captain.Solution was to put O’Brien in at CB. Garner to RB and give Tarky a breather as he’s been so poor. Garner would hopefully be better at the overlap than O’Brien and just an overall better FB. If Rohle can perform well in midfield it might make us a more balanced side. Probably neglected to explain any of this though.
Well both signed new deals recently. Keane will likeky extend again. Plus JB isn't dead, just injured.Tarky won't last forever and Keane will eventually be replaced. By next season we will at least want another starter and a young player to come through
No he's not been "so poor" ridiculous comment. (Not by you I know)Has Tarkowski been "so poor" though? I don't think he has personally. O Brien has been just as bad/OK. Plus Tarkowski is the captain.
I'm not against putting Garner at RB by the way, although I think he has been our best player this season so wouldn't want to move him if we can avoid it.
Branthwaite is miles ahead of wherever Holgate was. Branthwaite is stones level. How long is he out for? It’s easy to forget but around 2020 Holgate was definitely looking like he’d be a good PL CB, or more basically my point is he certainly didn’t look like he’d be Qatari second division at 28 or whatever he is now.
In moments Branthwaite might’ve looked better but if he’s not playing consistently his levels will drop the same way as Holgate. Relative to their potential I think Branthwaite ultimately becoming a solid Everton CB would be a huge disservice to where he looked like he could be, but if injuries keep popping up they’ll derail him completely.
Keane is and always has been a very good premier League centre half. Sadly he has made a few high profile errors that people are so quick to pounce on which is one reason he probably used to get nervyIt's also laughable that Keane has comfortably been our best centre half this season.
With O’Brien being playing at right back, it’s not really surprising he’s not been at his best. Tarks has just been making mistakes most games. I thought Keane and O’Brien looked decent at the end of last season. I don’t really mind either Tarks or Keane with O’Brien but not Tarks and Keane. They have zero pace. Garner just seems the best option and although decent he’s not a top half central midfielder.Has Tarkowski been "so poor" though? I don't think he has personally. O Brien has been just as bad/OK.
