Why not? I think that managers are a thing of the past for the new Everton, it will be head coaches, who will work within parameters laid down by the C.E.O. and D.O.F. from here on in. I think and hope that we may well be run as a business with a plan across the board now.
With the absolute mess theyve made with 4 managerial appointments at Roma, i wouldnt assume anything.
Mourinho and Juric are both foreign managers with Italian management experience. De Rossi and Ranieri have the Roma links.
To that end I would suggest it may be the opposite type of manager to them (all but Ranieri were binned)...though who knows?
Now, looking at a 22 year old centre back and thinking its a great move to encourage him to stay -- I agree.
But perhaps he isnt the leader type? Perhaps he may be better suited to be made Vice Captain...or nothing and focus on developing?
I think thats really something for the manager to decide.
